The Botanical Latreion is dedicated to the diagnosis, restoration, and propagation of living specimens.
Upon arrival, each plant undergoes a comprehensive examination and is assigned a botanical case file documenting its condition, history, and recommended course of treatment.
Specimens requiring intervention may be admitted to our recovery conservatories, where they receive individualized care ranging from root rehabilitation and environmental correction to propagation and long-term stabilization.
Throughout treatment, progress is documented and monitored by our team until the specimen has achieved a stable state of health.
Upon discharge, owners receive their restored specimen together with a Botanical Health Report detailing diagnoses, treatments administered, propagation outcomes, and recommendations for continued care.
Admission Restrictions
Due to the presence of the rare, endangered, and scientifically significant specimens maintained within our conservatories, we are unable to admit plants exhibiting active pest infestations or suspected fungal and oomycete infections to our recovery wards.
The introduction of biological contaminants poses an unacceptable risk to conservation holdings and ongoing propagation programmes.
Specimens displaying signs of infestation, fungal disease, or oomycete infection may be declined admission or required to undergo independent treatment and quarantine before reassessment, at the discretion of the Institute.
